So with the beta out I'd like to hear some of the experiences that have been had while playing this fist week since it's been out.
First of all for me, I love this game so far. There have been some pretty intense moments, and although I'm not to fond of the snowy
map, it's still been a great map with lots of places to hide, good opportunities for armored battle, helo raping, and my favorite, infantry.
Hit detection seems to be pretty good, way better than BF2 ever was/is. There are plenty of unlocks to be had along the way, as well.
About some of the weapons I've used:
Assault Kit : Like being able to resupply myself, and keep plenty of noob-tube(40mm Gl) ammo around. .gif)
Saiga: Yes there's a Saiga, and it's available to ALL kits. I have lifted people off the ground, doubled over from the semi auto
rapid fire of 6 shots; just got an unlock though, where you can carry 12 rounds! Up close and tight spaces this gun is just devastating, seriously,
people go flying with this thing!
Engineer Kit: Unlocked the tracer dart so I can lock on with rockets. It's a ton of fun trying to shoot an Apache with a tracer dart, it's CHALLENGING,
but when you hit 'em , they're dead. I shot a full Blackhawk down with a tracer dart guided rocket, and they happened to be out of bounds, so they had to bail and
I got to see them all suicide,,,funny as hell! Then decide to try it on a person, the guy was lit up glowing red and running away, and of course, the rocket
followed him! Awesome fun!! Repairing in the middle of combat is fun too, and rewarding points wise.
Tank Gunner: Yeah driving the T-90 is fun and you can rack up the kills, but I like using the gunner position the most. Zooming in and lighting them up is fun!
So anyway, there's ^ a little of what I like so far. Looks like it's going to be "the one".

The game isn't completely optimized yet, when it releases I would bet money we would see a performance increase.
As for my first impressions, I notice mostly the stuff that needs fixing. Like ramming the UAV into the MCOM will blow it up, 5 c4 bricks will blow the MCOM up. A squad can end the round within minutes doing this the right way. The Apache should be a little more agile, it's a flying brick right now. Should feel a bit more like the BF2 Apache, where you could at least strafe with it.
I could go on and on about stuff I'd remove/add/fix ect ect.

For it coming as a console port and having some parts changed to accommodate PC players (dedicated servers, etc) I must say this game is really great.
Things I'd like to see changed would probably be like Darkace also mentioned, the C4ing of the Mcom's. Now I know you can repair it, but as a sniper when you add that explosive thing that gives you like 5-6 C4's, it's so easy to just run in there, and blow yourself up with the Mcom and move on to the next... They just need to give it more health or something like this.
The games where you don't have people doing that, you can really get a great game up, I love Winter maps (right next to Jungle, which will be in the full version) and it is a pretty good map layout, and it feels SOOOooooo good to finally be able to play and work as a team rather then feel like your solo on a team full of solo players (CoD).
It's not Battlefield 3, but it sure will last me until then, very great game so far.

I am anxious to see how much they optimize it for release. I also there is a hardcore option because it seems like it takes too much to kill someone. Or I just plain suck .gif) Oh, and I really hope they fix the joystick conflict I am experiencing. I can't have my joystick plugged in or my guy just spins around continuously! Good game with potential for greatness!!

There is a hardcore mode but I feel it takes away what the battlefield game were once all about, the arcade side of gaming. Not the uber 1 shot kill with a pistol to the big toe or pinky mode.
